Privacy Policy
SnapCombo Studio respects and protects the personal privacy of all our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our desktop client software.
🛡️ Core Commitment: All your video assets, audio, and exported MP4 files are strictly stored and processed on your local computer. SnapCombo will NEVER upload any of your media files to any server or cloud.
1. Information We Collect
To ensure proper software operation and legitimate use of your subscription, we collect only the following limited information when necessary:
- Device Identifier & OS Environment: When you activate a subscription or visit the checkout page, a device fingerprint (a cryptographic hash) and OS type (Mac/Windows) are generated to enforce device limits.
- Network Logs & License Status: When the client validates with our license server or accesses the checkout page, standard connection request logs (including IP address, request time, and endpoints) may be recorded.
2. How We Use Information
The collected information is used solely for the following purposes:
- License Validation: Verifying your eligibility for premium features (e.g. 4K / unlimited exports) based on your license key and device fingerprint.
- Automatic Updates: The client periodically queries public update manifests to notify you of the latest security and feature versions.
3. Data Security & Local Processing
Your creative assets are entirely under your control:
- Local Sandbox Rendering: The software utilizes an advanced graphics engine to render short videos directly on your local device. We never collect any video details related to your project content, templates, media assets, or logs.
- Local SQLite Database: All your project data (such as card sequences and text inputs) is stored as SQLite database files on your local disk.
4. Information Disclosure & Sharing
We promise not to sell, rent, or share any of your information with third parties for commercial purposes. The only exception is if mandated by laws, regulations, or enforceable requests from judicial or administrative authorities.
5. Privacy Policy Updates
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to software updates or legal changes. Any modifications will be published on this page with an updated 'Last Updated' date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
